Fish & Chips (GF-Style)
Crispy beer-battered fish with GF chips and coleslaw
Ingredients
- 600 g white fish fillets
- 1 kg potatoes, cut into chips
- 150 g GF flour
- 200 ml GF beer or sparkling water
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 300 g cabbage, shredded
- 2 carrots, grated
- 3 tbsp mayo
- Salt and pepper
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions

Bake chips at 220°C for 35 minutes, flipping halfway.

Whisk flour, beer, baking powder, and salt into a batter.

Heat 3 cm oil in a deep pan. Dip fish in batter, fry 4 minutes per side.

Mix cabbage, carrot, and mayo for coleslaw. Serve fish with chips and slaw.
💡Tips
- Sparkling water works as well as beer and keeps it alcohol-free.
