Fish & Chips (GF-Style)

Crispy beer-battered fish with GF chips and coleslaw

Ingredients

  • 600 g white fish fillets
  • 1 kg potatoes, cut into chips
  • 150 g GF flour
  • 200 ml GF beer or sparkling water
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 300 g cabbage, shredded
  • 2 carrots, grated
  • 3 tbsp mayo
  • Salt and pepper
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

    Bake chips at 220°C for 35 minutes, flipping halfway.

    Whisk flour, beer, baking powder, and salt into a batter.

    Heat 3 cm oil in a deep pan. Dip fish in batter, fry 4 minutes per side.

    Mix cabbage, carrot, and mayo for coleslaw. Serve fish with chips and slaw.

💡Tips

  • Sparkling water works as well as beer and keeps it alcohol-free.
