Brazilian Feijoada (Bean Stew)
Slow-cooked black beans with pork and smoky spices over rice
Ingredients
- 2 x 400g canned black beans
- 800 g pork shoulder, cubed
- 2 onions, diced
- 4 garlic cloves
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 bay leaf
- 500 ml chicken broth
- 400 g white rice
- Salt and pepper
Instructions

Brown pork in oil. Remove. Cook onion and garlic until soft.

Return pork. Add beans, broth, spices, and bay leaf.

Simmer covered 45 minutes until pork is tender.

Cook rice. Serve stew over rice with orange slices on the side.
